Who we are
Akannaka is a booking platform that connects guests with hosts who offer their home — and often their car — under one keyring. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. If you have any question, contact us through the site.
What we collect
Account details. When you book or apply to host, we collect your name, email address, and the details needed to complete your booking or application.
Booking details. Dates, listing, guest count, and messages related to a stay, so both you and the host have a record of it.
Payment details. Card payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
Usage data. Basic technical data such as pages viewed and language preference, to keep the site working and improve it.
How we use it
We use your data to operate your bookings, deliver your share of the house-and-car handover, process our platform fee, email you about your stay or application, and keep the platform safe. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
Sharing
Hosts receive the guest name, dates, and guest count for their own listings so they can prepare the handover. Payment providers receive what they need to process a transaction. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries to keep you signed in, remember your language, and keep bookings running. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us through the site and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Retention
We keep booking records as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes, and delete account data upon request when the law does not require us to keep it.
