A small fee, then a tip jar.
For a $600 booking subtotal, the traveler pays $642 and the host earns $588 after their separate platform fee. The host’s fee is never added to the traveler’s bill. Tips are always optional.

Why we ask for tips
The fee barely covers card processing. Tips — from guests and from hosts — pay for the servers, the support inbox, and the people checking that a listing is real. Tipping is always optional, always after the trip, and never changes what you see or what a host earns.
